How It Works

How It Works

Open Scan to 3D, pick Object or Area mode, then walk a slow loop around your subject while the app captures photos automatically. When you finish, your iPhone reconstructs a textured 3D model locally using Apple's Object Capture (RealityKit). The result lands in the same viewer as your image-based models, so you can preview it, run mesh analysis, and export to USDZ, GLB, OBJ, or STL.

Room Scanner — 3D Model & Floor Plan

Scan a whole room in one pass. Apple's RoomPlan detects walls, doors, windows, and furniture live while you walk along the walls — then the app builds a clean 3D model with measurements and an architecture-style 2D floor plan.

How It Works

Open the Room Scanner and walk slowly along the walls — corners, openings, and furniture snap into place in the live preview. Finish the scan and the room appears as a 3D model: tap any wall or piece of furniture to see dimension lines with exact measurements, switch to the 2D floor plan with wall lengths and room area, and export the plan as a print-ready PDF.

Common Questions

How long does conversion take?
Quick models generate in under a minute. Pro and Max models take longer depending on which AI model you choose, but processing happens on cloud GPUs so your phone stays free.
What image formats are supported?
We support JPEG, PNG, HEIC, and WebP images. For best results, use high-resolution images (at least 1024x1024 pixels) with clear subjects.
Can I convert AI-generated images?
Absolutely! Images generated by our built-in AI (FLUX.2, Grok, Nano Banana) or external AI tools work great. AI-generated images often produce excellent 3D models because of their clean, well-defined subjects.
Why single image instead of multiple?
Unlike photogrammetry that requires 20-50 photos, our AI uses neural networks trained on millions of 3D objects to infer complete geometry from a single image. This makes the process much faster and more convenient.
Are my images stored on your servers?
Images are processed securely in the cloud and deleted after conversion. Your 3D models are stored locally on your device — you own them completely.
How is Scan to 3D different from photo conversion?
Scan to 3D (iPhone Pro models with LiDAR, iOS 17+) is a separate capture flow. Instead of sending one photo to a cloud AI, you walk around a real object and the iPhone runs Apple's Object Capture locally to build the 3D model. Reconstruction stays on the device, no AI credits are used, and the resulting model exports to USDZ, GLB, OBJ, or STL just like the AI conversions.
