3D models are exported as GLB files — a universal format compatible with game engines (Unity, Unreal), 3D software (Blender, Meshmixer), AR viewers, and slicer software (Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio). On iOS, you can also view models in AR via Quick Look.

With a Pro subscription ($7.99/week or $59.99/year), you can use your generated 3D models commercially — including selling 3D prints, using in games, or incorporating into products — as long as you have the rights to the original subject matter. Our license covers the 3D conversion output, not the intellectual property in what you photograph.

Does Image to 3D support iPhone LiDAR scanning?

Yes. On iPhone Pro models with a LiDAR sensor (iPhone 12 Pro or newer) running iOS 17 or later, the Scan to 3D feature uses Apple's Object Capture (RealityKit) to reconstruct a textured 3D model from photos captured by walking around the subject. Reconstruction runs entirely on the iPhone, no internet is required during reconstruction, and no AI generation credits are consumed. Free users can run 2 scans per day.

Yes — on iPhone Pro models with LiDAR (iPhone 12 Pro or newer, iOS 17+), the Room Scanner uses Apple's RoomPlan to capture walls, doors, windows, and furniture as you walk along the walls. You get a 3D model where tapping any wall or furniture shows its measurements, plus an architecture-style 2D floor plan with wall lengths and room area that exports as a print-ready PDF. Everything runs on-device.
